02:53 Shark Museum
Bjarnarhofn Shark Museum is located in western Iceland. Here we toured the museum and learned all about the Greenland shark. We even had the opportunity to taste shark meat. After learning that the shark meat is toxic unless it goes through a six month fermenting process, we were a little apprehensive to try it. It has a terrible ammonia smell, but smells worse than it tastes. Let's just say that we didn't go back for seconds. We definitely think that it is an acquired taste. After trying the shark, we went outside to the drying house to see the hanging shark meat. The shark museum is a unique stop along the ring road.

11:45 Snæfellsnes Peninsula
After leaving the shark museum, we made our way to Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Here we had lunch right next to Kirkjufell Mountain. It was a fantastic picnic spot. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon making our way around the stunning peninsula before heading back to Reykjavik.
17:00 Fish and Chips
For dinner, we had the best fish and chips at a food truck by Reykjavik's main harbor. It is called Fish and Chips Vagninn and it amazing! It was a perfect ending to our day 7 Iceland road trip.
