How to Make Machine Gun Fire (Muzzle Flash) Effects in HitFilm 2

Learn how to use HitFilm 2 to create awesome looking Gunfire (muzzle flash) VFX for your film projects! This is the first tutorial where I am not using Adobe After Effects, instead I am using HitFilm 2 by FXHome. HitFilm 2 is an all in one editing and compositing software for indie film makers. You can download a free trial version here: http://hitfilm.com/ One great feature of HitFilm 2 is that a lot of the effects that you typically require stock footage elements for such as fire, muzzle flashes and smoke are generated using the inbuilt particle system. This means they are fully 3D and you can tweak them to your liking and position them in your scene in a realistic way without being constraint by flat stock footage layers. I show you how to customise your gun fire effect and how to composite it on top of your footage to create a great looking muzzle flash effect.
