In the 1986 movie, Alan Ruck played Cameron Frye, the best friend of Ferris Bueller, who was persuaded to take his dad’s classic sports car out to embark on an iconic day of hooky in downtown Chicago. Fast forward to 2020, the car is still cool but the new garage door opener is “like totally” cooler! With the help of Alan Ruck, LiftMaster’s new campaign showcases the perks of having a smart garage with a view. Thanks to the new LiftMaster Secure View Garage Door Opener with a built-in camera and 2-way communication, he is tech savvy and able to keep history from repeating itself. “Smart home technology wasn’t available in 1985 when we made the movie, so if they remade Bueller today the kids would have a lot of trouble circumventing LiftMaster’s Secure View,” said Alan Ruck. “When I stepped into the Frye Family garage that LiftMaster recreated from the movie, I had flashbacks! I think LiftMaster picked the perfect iconic garage scene to demonstrate how Secure View and smart access solutions can provide peace-of-mind for homeowners.” Experience the interactive Multichannel News Release here: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/8742551-liftmaster-secure-view-garage-opener-alan-ruck/
