Dry Garlic Chutney is a must-have condiment for making delicious Vada Pao that gives it a hot and spicy character.
It is dry textured chutney prepared from crunchy peanuts, nutty coconut, garlic, sesame seeds and spices.
It is so widely used in Maharashtra for making Vada Pav that it is commonly referred as Vada Pav Chutney.
Ingredients – in same order as used in the video
Step 1 - For frying & roasting the ingredients
• 1 tsp oil (we have used refined oil)
• 12-15 garlic cloves
• 2 tbsp raw peanuts
• 1 tbsp white sesame seeds (white til)
• 2 tbsp grated dry coconut
Step 2 - For grinding the ingredients
• ½ tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
• 2 tsp red chilli powder (kashmiri lal mirch)
• 1 tsp salt
