A rhythm from Egypt for jamming, playing along tracks or to use as a starting base for improvisation. Sombati is a variation of the Maqsum rhythm, with the first tone played one note later. It is a basic and popular rhythm in Egypt, the Levantine Arab countries in general, and the Middle East. Sombati is part of the Baladi Family of rhythms. It is often used in compositions, and flows really well with Maqsum and Saidi. 00:00:00 Intro 00:00:12 Basic Pattern [slow] Play-Along 00:01:58 Basic Pattern [slow] Call & Response 00:03:26 Basic Pattern [fast] Play-Along 00:04:03 Basic Pattern [fast] Call & Response 00:04:51 Variation 1 [slow] Play-Along 00:06:03 Variation 1 [fast] Play-Along 00:06:41 Variation 1 [slow] Play-Along 00:07:53 Variation 1 [fast] Play-Along 00:08:30 Summary Click like if you like it, subscribe for more weekly rhythms, but most of all have fun! ===================== #djembeDrum #djembeRhythm #learnDjembe
