Published 3 Oct 2019

Mongoose are widespread throughout the main Hawaiian islands, with the exception of Kauai and Lanai. To mitigate the impacts that mongoose have on our natural environment and on our agriculture, USDA National Wildlife Research Center has been investigating tools to detect and control mongoose. Dr. Shane Siers from the USDA NWRC Hawaii Field Station in Hilo describes their recent efforts in this installment of the HISC Brown Bag series of talks. This presentation is part of the HISC Brown Bag series, a set of informal talks by invasive species experts and stakeholders in Hawaii.
